Z6 Vtec Help

If I were to unplug the vtec solenoid completely, what shoould happen besides no vtec. would it break up, run like crap in the upper rpms?

I ask because I really dont think vtec works on my engine, and when i unplug it there is no difference. yea i know its not too easily noticed on a sohc

any input, thoughts will help thanks

You'll get a CEL light, I think thats about it

well you have no vtec, sooooo yes.
