my 98 dx hatch brakes took a **** this weekend. the front, driverside caliper is seized. now i do have a 93 cx hatch in my garage. will the caliper from the 93 fit on the 98?

 

It will work, but it's probably not the same caliper.

I say this is a good time to find a front brake setup off an ex or integra.

While you're swapping out brake componenents, might as well swap out better stuff.

 

Screw the junkyard...Buy a reman from the autoparts store kid. It'll be just like a brand new caliper.

should be. 92-95 civic EX, Si / 96-00 Civic Ex, Si are the same.....92-95 dx, lx, vx, cx / 96-00 dx, cx, lx are the same.

i would say yes and since its just lying there swap em....they should clear no problem.....pads and rotors are the same size as well.....

 

Wrong. Some 93 Ex coupes came with smaller discs, and calipers. I had one of them.

I would not assume that the 93's caliper is the same as your 98's. I'm willing to bet that they are not though.
