Default el gauge swap almost done. what should I do about grounding the wire??

Ok, finished up my switching the 2 dash harnesses and everything.

And just like what everyone said..now i have an extra black wire..

everyone said ground this wire, do i need to cut the clip that holds the wires

(i think its a bundle of like 2 or 3 wires together)

so should i cut the clip off and then just find a place to ground the different wires?

(Also, having some difficulty getting my el gauges into the new lude...seems the harness is in the way, but it doesn't have room to go anywhere else...its driving me crazy)

i just snipped that one wire right at the plug and soldered to it. then i grounded it to a bolt on the fire wall. worked fine.

make sure u try to follow the ziptie clip points of the original harness across the dassh to get everything to fit. i think the harness should kind of be above the gauges once ur over toward the left side of ur dash.

the new harness will sit ontop of the gauges. they wont fit if the harness is behind them

and like I said in another thread, I legthened the wire and grounded it to the floor near the ECU
