What's the situation? Downshifting into what would be high RPM's? Is there a grinding sound or anything?

Gut instinct is to say synchro's are shot if everything else shifts fine.

It's hard to get into the 2nd gear from higher one when i try to turn the corner, and it is hard to get into 1st gear at starting. there were some grinding sounds coming out also.

Be sure you have Honda MTF or 10w30 oil in the trans.
Many times I've seen the trans full of gear oil, and that causes problems.

You can usually tell by looking at the dipstick. But I think the above guy was referring to the brand of the oil. Make sure you are using Honda MTF.

You clearly don't have a damn freaking clue what you're talking about!!! When was the last time you saw a 5spd auto on a 96 accord? And yes, you do put regular oil in a Honda manual tranny...I've even asked Honda techs.

Manual tranny's have 2 drain/fill plugs. One above the other. The lower is the drain obviously and the upper is the fill. Using a tube on a funnel that is inserted into the upper hole, fill it up till fluid starts to spill out.

Personally though, I'm thinking you may have either a bent fork or a leak in your hydraulic clutch system. It sounds like its not fully disengaging if you're grinding gears. Anyone else think this is a possibility?
