need help changing timing belt marker info?
Make sure the cam gear and the crank pulley are at tdc. Then if you dont have the proper tools its gonna be a bitch to take off the crank pulley to get to the belt tensoner so my advise is if you dont have a good impact wrench then you should have a shop do it for you.

DO NOT impact gun the pulley. You really dont want to shock load the crank like that.
Get the pulley tool, a 19mm 1/2" drive socket, an 18" socket handle and slip a 5 foot pipe over it. Lever the tool and the socket its attached to under the axle, take the bumper off so you dont scratch it, and just lever it off. Its not too bad with enough leverage. As far as the marks, the cam pulley points UP, as indicated on the gear, then line up the mark on the crank pulley with the line on the timing cover.

I've seen the dealer by me use an impact, I think they will always do it that way just because it saves time. Not that its right.
Anyway just to add what you said you will want to use an impact socket and extension if needed. Ordinary chrome sockets tend to break with that kind of force.
