Straight Pipe or Cat Back ?
i have an Apexi N1 muffler i bought and originally i was going to go with straight pipe but i read a few threads in the archives about it sounding raspy....
so now im thinkin i should just go from the cat back, and maybe get a high flow cat in the future. I mean my motor is still completely stock (97 SH)....
also, 2.3" piping or 2.5" ?

This is my car with a 2.5" through test pipe into Vibrant muffler. No cat, no resonator, VERY LOUD!
You will get the crackly sound, and IIRC the N1 is loud! I suggest a cat, and a resonator, have them use 2.5". NOT CRUSH BENT!

It's the way the pipe was bent. Crush bend means that where the pipe bends the diameter of the pipe gets smaller to acomodate the bend. So basically it's not a perfect 2" or 2.5" inches thru the whole pipe. This opposed to mandrel bend which is more expensive is bent in a way where the bends are a perfect 2" or 2.5" inches all the way thru. I believe they stuff the pipe or something before bending the pipe not sure.
