Default how to: b16a 58mm throttlebody to d16z6 intake manifold

the b16a obd0 throttle body is a bolt on upgrade good for 2-5 whp. even more on boosted apps,

the only ptoblem i had with the swap was the map sensor so ill ocver how to source vacumn to the firewall and relocate the map alos great if you are wire tucking cleans up an ugly sensor and a whole subharness of 5 or so wires

also it has a wiered vacumn thing called the fast idle control valve, just ignore this, and try your best to plug it if you want

this is a 58mm throttle body not a 60mm throttle body, all other b series tb's arent as complicated as this swap and are 2 mm bigger, i had this lying around and was in the middle of a wire tuck and just did it

heres the d16z6 tb

and here are teh tb sensors for those newbs out there

i dont have a pic of it, but what i just did is t off the pcv vacumn line and ran it to the nipple on the map sensor and hid the map sensor

kinda like this

thats it lmao, sorry for not having alot of pics of what im talking about but itspretty simple just run an extra vaucumn line to the map snesor that has been relocated, it will clean your bay up alot

ummm...ok write i guess...is this a direct bolt on to the z6 manifold? i thought it wasnt.

or you could just spend 100 bucks and get it bored out to 60mm

How does it help at all without port matching the intake manifold?

All I can see it doing is creating more turbulence, maybe subtract that 5 or 10hp.

my engine:

-d16z6 gasket matched everything
-subtracted all edges in rotating assy
-weisco's edges removed mirror fase scuffed
-eagle rods
-stock crank
-stock sleeves
-greddy manifold
-t25 turbo
-30 psi
-crome
-b16a obd 0 tb
-moroso oil pan
-magnetic drain plug
-arp bolts rod and head

your engine i/h/e

edit: lobsterdo you know waht gasket matching is? ill make a write up on that too easy way to get some horsepower and cheap

ok so hes right you are losing HP since you didnt get it port matched. Your gasket might of been matched by now its like hitting a wall when it passes the TB hitting all those edges.
