Throttle Body choice for Modded b16a Swap
Suggestions on a 91 modded b16a throttle body????I have mine which I sent to JG to be overbored to 62 mm (from 66 mm taper), and like a lot of overbores seems to stick at idle esp. if it is run for a while - like 1500-2000 rpm till I blip the trottle to get it to "settle" down...
I think RC stopped making them, and I believe (??)) I need the older style TB without the MAP sensor attached - would that be true?

Would that be applicable (without MAP attached & all)....?
Also, EM me if that is true and you can do anything on that price...

I put the Type-R intake manifold on my b16a and had the throttle body matched to about 66mm, works pretty nicely, got to get cams though.

I have a JDM b16 w/ out the MAP sensor, and its throwing codes. Could you tell me where the MAP sensor is supposed to bolt, if its not on the throttle body? I havent seen a Honda motor without a MAP sensor, except the JDM one I just got..

Re-send it to http://www.ProFlowdesign.com , they bored my SOHC t/b to 58mm and it works flawless. Ask them if they to resurface the t/b and replace the butterfly.

The jdm motors you get, on the old ones wont come with a map sensor on the throttle body because you use your stock one off the stock motor. Its usually located on the fire wall!

I cant put my stock TB on my b16, it came from a SOHC motor. it is half the size of the one on my b16. I will have to mount it on the fire wall.

Yea, MAP on the firewall or just "in series" - most of that bracket not required....I had my TB bored to 62mm as I said and maybe it is sticking a little less after 250 break-in miles (?!?!?!?!?) - so I say hopefully...
