Attn: Mechanical Experts - Ignition/Dizzy Problems
Ok guys, here's the deal. I have a'94 eg hatch w/a B18C(1) swap. A couple months ago i had a no start problem. Mechanic replaced entire distributor assembly, cap, and rotor. Also, ignition switch and wire harness. He believed at the time that a voltage spike caused the ignition to be fried. Fast forward to last week and cap and rotor are gone again. New cap and rotor replaced. Car runs ok for not even a week and now is exhibiting the same symptoms as both times before when distributer went. Sudden loss of power when maintaining speed on highway, hard start condition, rough idle. Any ideas? I'm ready to drive off my hatch off a cliff...
and no, none of you bastages can have it before I ghost ride it...
Forgot to add that I owned car for 2 years in 04/05 w/no probs until I had to replace ignition coil a year ago, 6/06.
Edit: Distributor - now can we get on with it?

its possible that the high voltage from the coil is leaking, and grounding out to other components in your distributor.
