I have a civic 92 dx my cup holder doesn’t seem to stay down it’s a bit more lifted on the right side than on the left side I when I push it down it stays down but after driving for about minutes it pops right back up anyone had this problem before anyone know how I can fixed this problem or should I just get another cup holder

 

Don't have the same car as you, but most cup holders are plastic, with tabs molded to keep the cup holder solidly in place. Perhaps the tab on yours broke off. See if you could fix by gluing a tab back on. If you can't, then you might want another one from the dealer or the junkyard.

 

I check there are no broken tabs I only see one tab that holds it down and it’s in the front it’s there but it just doesn’t hold it down for some reason

 

ive got a cup holder since i put in a audio console a month ago if u want it i can sent it to u jus pm if u want it

 

Seems like everyones cupholders have problems. I got a audio console, so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

 

Civic 92-95 cup holder are the worth design ever. That's why i got the auido console.

 

yess i would suggest tossing your flimsy floppy cup holder away and picking up an audio console.. and a honda block off plate. for your dash which looks hella clean

 

I had this problem once as well. It ended up being a side of the passanger cup holder out of alignment. Look at the right cup holder (passanger cup holder) and the outter tab fold in as you close the cup holder. Mine had popped out of placement and now closes fine. Just make sure you can push it in by hand easily, if you get tension, its probably popped out of alignment too.

Or you can get the 96-00 civic center console. You have to fab to make it hold in place.

They dont spill? Dang, I gotta try this! I wanted to buy an armrest console just for the cupholder!
