Default Car stutters and misses after replacing coil. Ideas?

Tried to search on this, but didn't find anything....

I was driving down the road ~45 MPH, and the car stutters violently for about a 1/4 of a second and then dies. I pull over and try to start it back up, but get nothing. I check for fuel and make sure there are no timing belt issues. Everything checks out, so I figure it's an ignition problem. My first instict is that it's the coil, so I check it with an Ohm-meter, and find that the reading between the positive terminal and the coil spring is open (supposed to be between 12.8 and 19.2 Ohms), so the coil is definitely dead.

I buy a new rotor, cap, and coil from Advance. I put the parts on the car, and now it starts up and idles fine.... UNTIL I drive it. When I take it out to drive, it runs perfect for about 30 seconds (or until it warms up maybe?), then it starts stuttering/missing pretty heavily on acceleration. After driving it, when I pull it back into the garage, it will continue to miss at idle until I shut it off. If I let the car sit for a while and cool down, the missing will go away upon start up, until it warms up again....

I'm about to go pick up some new spark plugs and wires, but I doubt that's the problem...

The car is a '95 Integra RS. Vehicle ran absolutey perfectly before the coil went bad. NO problems. The car is completely, 100% stock.

Anoyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be???? I'm stumped...

Oh, really? I thought if the ICM went out, the car wouldn't run at all.... Good to know. I think I have a spare dizzy with an ICM in it. I'll swap them out and report back.

Replacing the ICM did the trick. Runs perfect now.

That's the weird thing.... The coil is definitely bad too. It tested bad, and the car won't even start with it. What are the chances of the coil and the ICM going out at the same exact time????

sometimes when coils go bad they damage other components near by. The secondary ignition voltage has got to go somewhere and sometimes it goes straight into the ignitor. its not that unusual considering they almost touch. Those things are finicky anyways and a small voltage spike usually burns them up.
