just wondering what is the difference between stock gsr and si cams? are they interchangable and would it make a difference? if so...how much...thanks.sorry for the dumb question, but ive been wondering about this for a while

They are both close to each other. One wont make much or any power over the other. I have heard that GSR cams are somewhat better than the b16 cams tho, but not by much. Try a search, you may be able to find more info.

Si and GS-R cams are EXACTLY the same

INTAKE
Lift - 10.6 mm
Duration - 230 @1mm

EXHAUST
Lift - 9.4mm
Duration - 227@1mm

where did you get those pecs? i've never actully seen the exact specs on them, but can tell you this, i we put my gsr cams in my friends Si and when they were both out the lift difference was so dramatic that it could be seen by eye, and it knocked off 3tenths off his 1/4 mile times, i have to say that they definatedly make a diference, as far as i know b16 are one of the least aggressive cams right above the auto b16 that are CRAP, i've heard that the swap will give aprox 6whp. like i said i havent seen the specs, but the results on my friends car proved to me that the rumors had some truth to them. HTH

Maybe it depends on the year GS-R then. The newer ITRs have CTR cams so maybe the GS-R got a cam change as well.
