IACV question. 3wire to 2wire conversion. I not converting to a vtec head So what are my options?
I want to change out the intake manifold. I was thinking of using a auto y8 intake mani. But I thought of this instead because I have easy access to getting a p75 ecu and edelbrock intake manifold.
Im running 00 civic with d16y7. After I did the wiring modifications could I just replace the P2E ecu(d16y7) with a P75 ecu (99-00 integra LS) I mean it is not vtec and it is designed to run the 2 wire iacv. would there be any more changes to the wiring to do this?
Thanks

if you do the iacv wiring pin swap and stuff, i don't see why you could not use that LS ecu. it'd be incorrect for your application (wrong maps, y7 injectors are smaller (190 vs. 240) and the tune would be bad, but i believe it would work wiring wise with JUST the iacv pin swap...you can get an emanage or similar piggyback and tune it somewhat...
for all that money and work, i'd just put a vtec head on it, run a p2p and gain several hp ; )
OR, i'd get an obd1 jumper and run a tuned p06 if you really want that lame y7 head
