Default having problem wiring vtec up

ok so i have a obd2a p28 ecu and z6 head with a y8 intake manifold. ive been doing some research and all the mini me write ive been looking at have been talking about the IACV. now is the IACV on the intake manifold or where is it at? i dont think i have one if its the thing im thinking about behind the intake manifold. is that gonna mess up anything with wiring up vtec?

Its on the back of the intake manifold. Nothing to do with VTEC but it will affect your idle.

there no place to put one. it didnt come with one. when i changed all the wires around last night and hook the p28 up it was idling really high and i drove it around the block and it was pretty sluggish

does something else need to be done to the ecu? its out of a 96-97 del sol. its obd2a p28 ecu

its a zc block with a z6 y8 intake manifold. 97 civic coupe dx. if that helps any

THe IACV should be BEHIND the intake manifold on your car. It's held on by I think two 10mm bolts? There's a black connector on it with two plastic hoses going into the bottom of it.
