my car is running rich???
i did an ls/vtec swap. know i think my car is running rich. my oil got black in 800 miles after i changed it. yesterday i changed the oil, oil filter and spark plugs. when i started it up it spit out black smoke when i revved it up to 7000 rpm. when i did the swap i put an odb 1 computer that is reading codes. when i put my stock computer it reads no code. i also have an vafc2 to control my vtec. i don't know what to do. i don't think theres enough fuel getting to the motor. does anyone have any suggestion?
tuning will solve alot of problems. how bad do u want ur engine 4. dont daily drive a rich car. it will shorten ur engines life by half or more.

first thing you should do is ditch the vafc and chip your ecu. then have someone burn you a basemap.
however, actual tuning with a wideband and dyno time is the only way to get your engine running correctly.
there are two shops in hawaii that tunes hondata. you dont necessarily need a dyno to get a good tune.
