No Pressure on the Clutch Pedal
Went out to sell some stuff to a fellow HT member today and when I stepped on the clutch, it feels like it lost all its pressure. And the gear won't engage til the clutch is almost hitting the floor.
What can be wrong? And how do I fix it? Thanks.

Yep, it officially took a poop.
Unless there's a hole in your lines, but that's improbable.

you guys suck at troubleshooting. dont just tell someone to replace parts without finding a failure
check the fluid
if its empty, fill it, pump the clutch then look for leaks. could be from many places
if its FULL, its probably the master, but can also be the slave. check and replace as necessary

Really, if you want an upgrade and it IS you mc thats blown, get a master cylinder off of a 1990 ex wagon.
If you do it, pm me and tell me how badass your car stops now.
it's a 15/16ths I believe.
I think they're $40-$60 at autozone.</TD></TR></TABLE>
That's the BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, dude
We're talking clutch action here.

Check the fluid in your resevoir. If it's almost black, it's probably the seals in the cylinders going bad.
If you notice fluid running down the inside of the firewall, under the dashboard where the cylinder comes through, it's also the seals.
Be sure that if you replace the master, you also replace the slave cylinder. This is only because you want the seals in both cylinders to age at the same rate. If you only replace one, it will over power and blow out the remaining seal in the other cylinder.

if that doesn't wokr b/c of cookies, then try these:
CMC: http://www.stopshopanddrive.co...=0.97
slave: http://www.stopshopanddrive.co...=0.76
Sanyco is a leading manufacturer of many hydraulic parts to OE japanese makes. I think they even make the the calipers for Stoptech.
