Default will a gsr tranny fit on ls block?

I have a 98 gsr. The rings went out on the engine. I had a built ls block handy so im going to piece the ls block in place of the gsr block with the bad rings. Will the gsr tranny match up to the ls block?? I searched. Thanks for your help.

Yes. You keep saying block. Do you mean longblock, as in head too? Just wondering because the heads aren't directly interchangeable.
