do you really want to get a lot of tickets (since you live in Cali) for 1 hp maybe 2 hp gain and a loss of torque?

you just want sound and no performance out of it?
just buy an axel back that fits with your stock b-pipe
it'll be cheap and you'll get sound out of it

i guess i just misunderstood what a straight pipe was. i thought it would give me a gain at a cheap price. im having a hard time finding a used exhaust system that i can afford and that's local.

A straight pipe is a long pipe that eliminates your catalytic converter and resonator, it connects to your header and exhaust. It will produce a very loud sound and will give a great amount of gain in hp if your engine is mildly built, but in your case it is not worth doing.

Skunk2 Mega Power exhausts are pritty loud, but sound great. You can get it shipped for $430 at http://lightningmotorsports.com or the Buddy Clubs are loud too, but cost a bit more.

Majority of piping are 2.36" (60mm)

If your car is not tune for a straight pipe exhaust you wont see any more gains then a normal cat-back. besides that a straight pipe is loud as ****..
