A/c acting up turning off and on
hey guys... i have a 92 prelude si and my a/c is being weird cause sometimes it will work and other times it wont. I still see no rhyme or reason for the times it works or doesnt. When i push the a/c button sometimes the little green light will come on and other times it wont but if it doesnt come on i keep switching it on and off and eventually sometimes it will turn on. just wondering if anyone would know what might be wrong with it. thanks in advance
ah..switch button. The button might not be closing and staying closed. its a metal strip inside that maintain contact when button is pushed in and if its bent or over used it doesn't make contact any more. Push button in and look for light. you might have to push the button in a little harder though. report back if light goes on or not
i tried pushing it hard and pushing it several times... sometimes i push it lightly and it does work and sometimes ill push it hard and it doesnt work... it seems like it doesnt matter how hard i push it... it still maybe the switch and thats what i was thinking but is there another way i can be sure or an easy fix without replacing it?

That is a thread I made, and there is also a link to another thread in it with pictures on how to re-solder your climate control board.
This is a pretty common problem in 4th gens, the solder on the board cracks and the connection gets crappy.
