People running Hondata S200 and S300 ECU's...
I'll keep it simple for now, but I'll elaborate later.
How many of you go through emissions testing and do you leave your Hondata modified ECU's in them?
Just curious about the OBD-II aspect and what happens when a state tester is hooked to them.

Yes, and this is exactly what I needed to know in regards to the 97-01 Integras.

I need to do emissions every two years. So then what is the proper thing to do when you tune with Hondata when using an OBD2 in this case? Change back to OBD1 everytime emissions is due?
DO you mean changeback to obd2 for emissions? That's what I did this year, I have a flly built type r motor running on a modified P28, when it came time for inspection i just hooked back up the stock P2T ecu and put in some stock injectors and passed the 2nd time around, failed the 1st time cause the ecu wasn't ready to be tested yet, so had to drive around a little bit more

I ran through emissions with my S300 this year (and hid it from their view - the R was throwing a CEL at the time on the stock ecu). When they plugged their equiptment into the plug behind the dash console, the computer wouldn't communicate with it, and they told me, "It must be a problem with our computer, pull forward please." So I was sweatin' it a little bit, but then they just did the gas cap test and considered me passed, HAHA! SUCKERS! I mean... I got lucky?
But I don't live in your state, so it could be different. Also, you could just try to run it through with the Hondata and see what happens - if you fail you have 30 days to figure it out for the free retest (at least that's how it is in my state).
Good luck!

In California you will insta-fail if you aren't running the OEM ecu.
