300whp Custom Turbo Kit & Greddy T3/T4 Turbo?
Sup Honda-Tech? I currently have a 2000 Si with a Greddy 05h-18g turbo kit and intercooler with stock internals. (It came with the car.) I am going to completely redo the kit with the following:
Custom Welded Piping
550cc injectors
Honda S300
GSR Cams
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Moroso Oil Pan w/STEEL BRAIDED oil return line (not the cheap rubber one
)
Profec B Boost Controller
Upgraded Exhaust Mani (maybe Lovefab) w/tial 38mm ext wastegate
Greddy Type RS BOV
3 inch downpipe and exhaust
AEM Adjustable CAM gears
AEM Pulleys
AEM Fuel Rail
And a very good tune @ 10.5psi
My question is, will the Greddy Turbo be able to achieve 300+ whp on a set up like this, or will I need a better turbo? I'm going to go to John @ LHT performance, and they do some awesome tuning. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thats pushing it on the little Greddy turbo.. They usually max around 275whp with your setup. But there is a whole thread on Greddy turbos somewhere..
Really? Even with the completely upgraded kit? I tried to do a search for the turbo, but I couldn't find anything specifying the max HP for the turbo.
I'm not sure exacly what trim size the turbo is, but I revised the original post with the actual model of the turbo: 05H-18G. One thing that I do know is that this turbo is larger than most of the Greddy Kits I've seen.

That is a 640cfm turbo. about 45lbs/min. its about as good as 330whp, but that is EXTREMELY pushed, and neither the wastagate nor the wastagate hole or flapper will support that at all.

I am curious why you want to run both the Hondata s300 system, and a Greddy boost controler? The s300's boost controler is top-notch, and offeres you the ability to run gear-dependant boost levels... Your setup looks solid, and the Greddy/mitsu Td05-18g makes for a fun daily driver turbo, but I think it will fall a bit short of 300whp. I know that it can be pushed to that level, but it will be well out of its efficiency range at that point. Best of luck to you.
Thanks, TheShodan!
I am actually going to upgrade my exhaust mani to something higher quality then the cast log like a Lovefab ps/ac compatable, and switch from the stock internal wastegate to a Tial 38mm wastegate.
This is possible, right? And if so, what do you think I'll be running @ 10.5 psi with this set up?
