FI noob!!
okay sorry guys but im new to the whole fi scene but id appreciate some....well alot of help, i have a lot of questions so please be patient. okay first off what prices would i be looking at for a decent turbo set up? how much psi is safe to run on a stock-ish D series? how much hp should i be expecting? is it worth it? is it legal in CA? thanks guys any feedback would help

Technically I think only edelbrock and greddy are carbed approved. On kit sucks ***, other one is to expensive. So I would just throw custom turbo kit on it, and whenever you have to go to your stupid test thing just take it off. What's stocking D series. Which motor, what's done to it. Typically people run 6-8 psi daily on them. Anything past that you will have to take the head off and stud it.

there is no "regular" psi
it's all about whp
on a 100% stock block 220-230whp is pushing it for daily driving
now with arp head studs i would still only run 230-240whp and just be safer
all head studs do is keep the head from lifting
