fuel pump wiring

Default fuel pump wiring

I was wondering if i could run my new fuel pump directly off the battery with a switch and with no relay???????

why? there's no benefit to that. anyway if you wire it to the bat. it'll see 12v all the time even with the car on. it's supposed to be seeing 14+ running volts with the car on. so doing that will limit the motor/pump. and you would need a heavy duty switch that can take the repeated abuse of being connected directly to the battery. just do it the way the manufacturer intended and you won't run into any problems.
