axle wont go in to the hub
How about lubricating it like your supposed to instead of beating the hell out of your poor axle and hub its not a tight fit they should fit or you have a wrong axle/hub.
Just take your time and make sure you warp the teeth on the shaft. No need to heat up the metal it just makes it expand and get bigger. Also make sure you have the right axle.
Is it in the transmission all the way? If so, then you have to pull the knuckle waaaaay out, and stick it in. I used my knees for that, but if you have a friend, it would be a lot easier
Once the splines are in the hub, tap it in with a rubber mallet.
And you don't have to lube the axle to the hub, you don't want those parts moving agent each other.
lol

Um I think you are wrong, you should definitely lube the axle shaft!

Well, yeah, but only need a light coat, and its really only to assist with the install, the one that needs grease is the one to the transmission, that is important.
So, nevermind lol. I'll go to bed now
