someone with integra repair manual... help me out.
i need the torque for the valve cover bolts. also is there a special way of tightening the bolts like tightening head bolts?
Torque spec is 7 foot lbs if im not mistaken.. i always start from the inside bolts and work my way out switching from front to back.
Ive never torqued valve cover bolts to a spec and have never encountered a problem before. Use a 1/4" drive socket and ratchet, choke up closest to the socket on the handle of the ratchet and tighten by hand. Wont have an issue of over torquing them and should be tight enough to not cause a leak.

its either i over torque and stripp something or not equally that spark plugs get flooded with oil. if i stick with torque spec im more likely safer.

Im almost positive the spec is 7lbs but really with a 1/4" drive socket you would really have to put some strength into striping them out. Lotta times i use an air ratchet

check the spark plug tube gaskets located on the valve cover---probably old and brittle causing leak. change the v/c gasket and the 4 smaller gaskets. youll be fine im sure....and 7 or 8 lbs should be fine. goodluck

it is possible that oil can get into spark plugs if you over tighten your bolts.: </TD></TR></TABLE>
yea, i belive different torque on each bolt can cause leak.
