head swap hose problem.please help

Default head swap hose problem.please help

i'm working on a d16y8 block and i put a d16z6 head on it. but I have a coolent line that i can not figure out where it goes. on the block by the threma.. there are three hoses. two big one small. the first goes to the the head, the second to the firewall but where does the third go to? please help me, i searched for hose diagrams and found one but it didn't help. please let me know.

i think it's the iacv hose. runs under the TB to the iacv on the back of the mani. you're talking about where the little one goes right? i think that's all there should be on that motor... u-shaped bypass hose, heater hose, and iacv bypass hose.

well your right there is the bypass hose. heater hose and the other one which you are calling the iacv hose. but does that hose have coolent running through it? becasue mine does. and does it hook up to that little blick thing that bolts onto the back of the manifold? thank you for the response and please keep helping me.

The IACV does have coolant running through it. It uses coolant temperature as a factor for the ECU to adjust engine idle. It needs to have a coolant hose, I believe it is 3/8" or so I.D.

so the iacv hose goes from the back of the manifold to the third hose hookup on the block. the one right next the the heater hose that goes into the firewall? thanks once again and please let me know.

don't forget that the iacv has two of these small hoses, one where you are talking about and one that goes to the metal pipe under the manifold (above the oil filter if you crawl under the car.)
