Well The throw out bearing I got from Competition clutch is making noise like crazy after about 3 months of driving and 1 track day. So, I'm going to buy a factory bearing to replace it.
Can I just move the unbolt the trans, move it back without dropping it, and fit my hand throught there and swap the bearing. Do people think there is room? I'd rather do that than go through the whole process. I guess I'd still have the pull the half shaft out on the passenger side, (the drivers might come out too but I've done a tranny swap without removing the suspension on the drivers side).

you might be able to sneak your hand in there, but really, your going to be going through the hassle of removing the mounts/bellhousing bolts, you might as well drop it out and change it on the floor and then re-install it...
I guess it really depends on where/how you do it...I have done what you are asking about before, but that was with a lift and a tranny jack...
so I guess you might get lucky, but I think you'll be fighting with it more than it is worth, just to save 1 or 2 steps

I think the same thing. To remove that bearing, you would have to pull the tranny far enough to get the shaft out of the clutch area. By that time, you might as well say that you have removed the tranny. I do believe you can seperate it enough so that you dont actually have to "drop" the tranny though. If that is what you mean. Good luck!!
