Need help with timing belt install for toda b cams
I just purchased a power enterprise timing belt for my car and I'm about to have it installed by a local honda dealership. I was wondering if I should ask them to install it in a specific way. I hear people saying if its too tight it will break, or if its too lose it will break. Will honda be alright with their install, or do I have to tell them to install it a certain way as far as belt tension. I am running toda b cams in my 00 civic si, with toda cam gears, toda valve train, and titanium retainers. Your help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Are you sure you want to have them do the work?
Keep in mind they could do a halfass, shoddy job then blame the failure of your motor on the aftermarket parts used.

why do you people love the honda dealership? what happens if they put it too tight, or too tight, and u end up snapping the belt again, and u bend ur valves. is honda gonna replace or fix those aftermeket items. Thats just my question...

not to be an ***, but if a timing belt is a timing belt, why buy a PE belt. i have never seen one, but have done more then my share of T belt jobs and i think that they are all the same, but again i have never seen a PE belt so....

WHY buy a PE belt, you ask? Because its stronger...it's not really a hard concept. They all go on the same is what he meant by a "timing belt is a timing belt"
