Default Removing countershaft bearing ...

Some people are lucky enough to have their countershaft bearing come out when they remove their main and countershafts as a unit. I'm not so lucky. With all the people replacing bearings in the tranny, there must be a secret for getting out the countershaft bearing. How do you guys do it and what tools do you use?

I was also unlucky in that the main shaft bearing (the one opposite to the input shaft bearing (also called clutch housing bearing) opposite it on the main shaft) ended up getting stuck in the case when I separated the clutch housing and the tranny housing. What's worst is that right smack in the middle of these bearings are a plastic guide piece that can get in the way of pulling these bearings out. I don't want to break the fragile plastic part that is there.

Anyone that has rebuilt the tranny and replaced the bearing probably knows what I'm talking about. If not, please let me know and I'll try to clarify.

Any help would be appreciated.
