Default Vacuum wont go below -10

I had an issue a few days ago where my vacuum line to my boost gauge split in half out of no where..i dont know why. And one of my charge pipes fell off while driving an a decent dent was in it that i couldnt really pop out. My car seems to run ok now that i put the pipe on, and i just hooked the vacuum together with one of those plastic connecters. But the only thing is my car used to sit at -20hg now it only sits around 7-10hg and i cant tell but the turbo seems alittle laggy in 5th gear (i just finally drove it today so i havent had time to trouble shoot). I dont know if its really lagging or not or if im not at the same amount of boost as before. What could be causing this.

you need to pressurize the system with some air, like from an air compressor, and see where your leak is coming from.

with the throttle plate open and closed, you may have another vacuum leak somewhere, or a tiny tear in a gasket

but since it was fine before you repaired the line i would start there and just replace the whole line

Well the charge pipe also has a dent in it.. So youre saying its probably the vacuum line..
Btw where do you guys get your vacuum lines at. Someone said autozone, but mine never has anything the right size/length and a real poor selection.

Went and took a look and the vacuum line on my fpr likes to split also (its done this before) so i snipped the hole out and shortened it and its normal now. Thanks
