Default waste gate presure source?

can i tap a hole into the pipe after the IC and before the TB for my waste gate vacume source?
because i dont want to run a line all the way from the mani to the waste gate.

seems more accurate because the waste gate will compensate for the presure drop? after the IC

I use a AVC-R so a -6 line attaches to the bottom of the w/g while a -4 tapped near the -6 attaches to the boost solenoid and the top of the w/g. Both lines are tapped less than 12" from the compressor housing and before the IC. Initially I was using all -4 lines and when I changed the bottom line from a -4 to a -6 boost came online a lot faster in first and second gear.

Well the reason why i wanted to get my source from the intake arm...because it seems easier and cleaner having a vacume line go straight from wg to the arm. I didnt want to run the line all the way back and zip ties everywhere.

Dee-what is the bennifit of using ss braided lines for the vacume lines? I guess protection...is it really nessesary?
