Default Magnaflow muffler

Hi, what is the part # of the Magnaflow mufflers that fits better on a 4th gen Prelude ?
I have a 2.5" Kteller piping exhaust kit, should I put a resonator ?

Definitely put a resonator on, and a chambered exhaust will be better sounding and a straight threw design may make it sound raspy and rice!

Run the longest magnaflow that will fit, grab a measure tape (longer quieter sound better)

I think I read someone else used this same setup maybe w/ a different resonator, and didn't think the next length would fit. I intend to get this same setup by with a dual outlet muffler.

What doesn't sound right about it?

You can definitely go a bit longer than 14".

in reference to the next size up fitting, I can't talk from experience, but with the kteller mandrel bends it seems (atleast to me) that fitting the next length size up would be tricky, but it all depends how low and far back you want your muffler pushed out, and of course who installs it.

best of luck.

oh, and I still like the setup, deep and low, but can be loud. no rasp.

I use the 22" res and you might be able to get an 18" long muffler at the back depending on what kind of tips you want.

I just measured from the sway-bar mount to the inside of the rear bumper bar 18.75 + - 0.2". And the stock muffler is about 11" wide. I can't really get a great measurement. I had to measure the stock mufflers lenght(15 15/16"), and then measure the gaps(1.5 front 1 7/16 back). At least this way it accounts for the oreintation of the muffler on the car. That said the next closer thing from the mount is the swaybar(2 more inches"). I think I will order the 18" muffler.

I'm not sure how much clearance I should allow for but I was thinking atleast a half inch on either side. Do you think I'll be cutting it too close?
