I have everything hooked up and full on oil. I do have a vtec controller its a soon one and its hooked up fine also. What can be some things I can try thanks. 1994 Honda Civic Ex b16a

Are you autistic?
Try unplugging your vtec controller. It's a good way to see if that's what's causing your problem. I don't think your vtec solenoid would have gotten damaged when you blew your motor.

Vtec will only engage when it's at a certain PSI. I'm too lazy to find it right now.
Make sure the pressure is charging.

Maybe the plug or prongs on solonoid plug got damaged or corroded? Use a test light to see if you have power to the solonoid between the solonoid and the plug. Or maybe see if you have continuity from the harness thru the plug to the solonoid side on each wire?
If that is not it, try a buddy's solonoid on your car and use new gaskets. If it works, then something is wrong with your solonoid and will need to get another one.
Good luck!
