A buddy of mine isnt to bright about cars and wanted to clean his engine bay on his car... He owns a 90 CRX SI with a ZC in it with I,H,E
Him and his dad decided to clean the engine bay and hosed the entire engine bay of the car with a water hose while the car was NOT running but he did cover the DIZZY...
he started the car and got to the end of his drive way and it died... and its been about a week now and the car is still down...
It thew code number 20 which is ELD (Electronic Load Detector) I pulled and checked every single fuse in the engine bay and under the dash, I replaced the fuse box in the engine bay and replaced the DIZZY... The lights in the dash are trippin and when you put any kind of electrical load on the car it dies... Lights,Brakes,Radio anyhitng??? What should I do... Im loosing patients with this guy and car... he has no clue what hes talkin about and I just wanna fix it for him if I can... LOL

might have flooded and then shorted the alternator.

Or there could be a open wire that now has water on it causing it to short out.

Hey wassup??? Yeah thats the next thing that ill be attempting to do... The hood has been left off the car for a week now to let the heat and sun dry out all the water and its been nothing but 80-95 deg weather and i havent gone back yet to see if it has gotten better but do you think me replacing the alternator it wil help or is it just a trail and error type thing???
