Default Anyone run short sweep guages?

Anyone running short sweep electric gauges in their car and actully like them? Im looking at getting some, and since theyre about $150 cheaper than the full sweep gauges, im considering them but im worried they maybe hard to read and just not look as cool. Opinions are welcomed, so are pics.

Short sweep are less precise when it comes to displaying information, I'm content with my short sweep units but I'm also not doing anything that I need the more precise information for (have um for peace of mind). Also electric gauges are said to be less precise due to the indirect connection to what ever is being read...... I've never done a side by side to find out for sure but it'll probably come up in replies.

Oh and short sweep are just as easy to read but comprehend is another thing...

Thanx for the info

I was gonna get them in oil pressure and probably oil temp, and its not like they need to be constantly monitored, yet they are still important. I dont think I wanna go with a mechanical oil pressure and temp because of running lines into the cabin, just something i dont wanna do.

I understand your thinking (I don't trust pressurized hot oil in the cabin either), just making it aware. I'm gonna switch up to full sweep gauges later on if/when I get tired of mine but who knows when that'll be. After a week or so I got used to where the needles were/should be and it's easy to read them at a glance. If you're worried you could mount them in the dual pod gauge bezel unit, this would keep them closer to your natural eye sweep pattern and make wiring alot shorter.
Here's a pic of where mine are and I'm happy with the outcome of them.

The empty hole will be filled with an AEM wideband O2 gauge I've yet to get....
