its the current that turns the motor not the voltage.

if a battery drops below 9.6 volts it wont start the car and if in doubt just take it to the zone and get it tested. does it even try to turn over? if not whack it with a hammer and see if it spins

Your car will barely turn over at about 10.5. It will turn over really slow and if it drops much below that it wont start at all.

But anyway you dont need to know that right now. What exactly does it do when you turn the key? Does it turn over at all? Make any noises? If it doesnt make any noises check the cables going to your starter. That sounds like thats what it is. There is one cable that comes from + batt and that gets a nut put over it and tightened down. Make sure its tight. The other one is just a slide on clip looking thing. That might have fallen out. That has happened to me a few times. There is a male and female end. The male end is on the starter and the female end is what you plug into it. This pic is about what you will see when looking at your starter inside your car. And what is circled is the male end to where the female will plug into.

hmmm, i guess check the voltage drop at all your grounds. Like from batt to ground and see how much it drops. I would say check and double check all the grounds to the engine and chassy.

Make sure you dont "whack the starter with a hammer" like it was said above. you can give it a nice tap with a screw driver or something but if you hit it with a hammer you could damage the magnets.

Have you checked to see if you are getting voltage at the stator it self? Check the always hot wire that runs right to the + side of the batt and see what you are reading.

If you are getting 12.2 and its not doing anything check the control side of the startor circut , the ignition switch, the clutch safety switch etc. You could try hot wiring the starter to eliminate the control side all togetheir and seeing it thats whats wrong. With your key off Just run a 12 volt + wire to the starter solonoid and see if it works like normal, If so you have a problem somewhere in the control side.
