Default Cleaning engine bay

I think this post goes here but please move if it doesnt.

I want to clean my engine bay really good, im going to just use a rag and simple clean to get most of the dirt and grease out but what should i do if i pressure wash it? i heard you have to wrap up the dizzy. anything else that i would need to cover and keep from water? please let me know thanks alot.

you don't need to cover it, if you leave the engine running.

Yeah.

But if you're valve cover has cheap shitty paint - don't spray directly on it.


Well at least not for a long time.

I used Simple Green then hit it with the Black Magic for engine bays

MAKE SURE YOU COVER YOUR DISTRIBUTOR CAP!!!! don't take chances off letting water get in there especially pressure washing. Make sure you take a plastic grocery bag and wrap it around tightly, u can use some tape, also cover up the alterntor.

Asfter rinsing, you can detail your distributor cap with protectant or tire shine.

yeah^^^ don't spray in one spot for too long, and keep away from the alternator.
