last one we bought had a ls tb and it sold for 75 i think. either way there are some problems there is a port you have to block off on the top of the flange i belive thats on the 98+ models. also the iat sensor isnt mounted on the intake manifold other then that most sensors should be the same

D16A6 uses a 55mm throttlebody.
D16Y8 use a 56mm throttlebody.

but the good thing about the y8 manifold, B series TBs bolt up. so you could put pretty much any TB on that you'd like.

this is true but no matter how big of a TB you put on the intake it isnt going to do anything at all (performance wise) unless you port-match your intake.........02

one way that i do it is....

get the desired TB and gasket. place it on the manifold and open the TB all the way.

you might need to trim the gasket with an exacto blade to exactly match the TB.

thats step #1

then, if you can see material from the manifold, use a sharpie or scribe to "trace" your TB opening on the manifold.

after that, take the TB and gasket off of the manifold and use a dremel to match up the port.

that way when your at wide open throttle, there isnt a bottle neck from your TB to manifold.

im terrible at explaining things, but i think i have a picture somewhere.
