okay, i installed my nitrous kit today and its working just fine on my b18b1 motor(STOCK Internals), its a 75 shot!, anyways so far ive done this for the nitrous too be somewhat better then leaving my motor all Bone stock lol...

i got some NGK Denso's from my buddy, retarded the timing a bit, and i am using 102 octane!


need some help you guys on what else i should do too my car/motor any little things that will help?

also, i want too get it tuned as well but i was wondering what the avarage nitrous tune is? and should i get some cool gadgets lol... safc etc...LMK what setup you guys have on a b18b1 motor and how long youve been spraying it.

 

if you do any thing get a apexi vafc so you can use the vtec activation to activate the solinoids then you have a bit of a launch controll and you can also richen it up since your running a dry kit.

(i realy dont trust nitrous we just installed it on my buddys tc saterday)

 

^ What's not to trust with nitrous? 99% of the mishaps are due to user error or abuse.

If you stay within your limits, do your homework and have a clue, a dry kit is fool proof.

 

well verying bottle pressure makes a huge diffrance we ended up missfiring becosue it got cold and the bottle pressure droped fast and the car ran rich as hell

you need to check your plugs especialy with a dry kit if your running it untuned like him a temp change can cause the car to run what would be fine normaly but extreamly lean as soon as nitrous is added


your are right if you do it right you are golden but if you half *** any where and dont keep on top of it then you can break **** easy

i hear a bottle warmer actualy helps a good bit

 

The bottle warmer is a necessity in my book. It stabilizes bottle pressure to help deliver consistent shots of nitrous.

 

that it does but once you start adding all the bells and wistles like this its easier and just about the same price to do a decent turbo setup

 

I came across a complete nitrous kit for $400. The only thing that was used was the bottle heater, plus there's less maintenance with nitrous then turbo.

 

to me the cost of going through bottles doesnt add up. one trip to the track can be 2 bottles easy around here thats about $45 for a 10lb bottle so $90 just in nitorus for the track. last summer we went every other week that adds up quick compaird to a simple turbo setup running crome with a good tune.

the added bonus of a turbo is you can beat on it all day on the street and just get a speeding ticket. with nitrous having a bottle open in IL results in your car getting impounded
