help!! wiring problem smoke coming out!!

Default help!! wiring problem smoke coming out!!

well today i was driving my car like normal and when i got home my car started to smoke.. i open the hood to fine out that the box fuse has smoke coming out and my radio shut off.. well when i looked at it the 7.5 backup fuse is burning and melting so now i need a totally new fuse box.. i took out my radio to also find out that some of the wires are crisp and burnt.. what can be causing this problem?? thanks lmk i really need help~~~!!! the car starts fine and everything works except radio since i took it out.. should i just part out the car? also how much are new dash wires?

Maybe a wire became exposed and grounded itself.

holy f*ck i just took out my cluster to fine out i burnt a wire and my harness is pretty much fucked!!.. how much would a harness cost? im talking about the wires that are for the radio and cluster also the wires connected to the engine bay fuse box..

Might be able to find one on eBay or something. Pretty much as said before a ground wire will cause your wiring to burn like that.

haha yea I've done that a few times myself.

hey man how do you like the tib? I drove one of my friends and I couldn't stand it, too many blind spots and stuff

could it be because i didnt screw the ground wire from the rad support to the valve cover? well anyways im trying to salvage the harness but most likely will get a new one.. also is the cabin harness the one for the engine bay fuse box? thanks lmk

well it would most likely be a wire with a constant voltage, something like a power wire, thats being grounded. as for the cabin harness... i'm not sure.

hmm thanks for the help guys. you think it can be the radio? because i recetly had a friend install my radio. or can it be bacue im not putting the rubber seals on my headlights you know the one you put after the light bulbs?

no problem, the reason i say that is b/c of the fried fuse you mentioned earlier and the burnt wires.
