Default car wont start???

i just replaced the thermostat in my d16y8, everything was fine except it overheated which is why i replaced the thermo, which was shot. i put everything back together, went to fill my radiator with new coolant and it wouldnt start. it cranks over but wont fire up. any idea why it did this? i checked over everything and everything seems to be connected plus i even tried a different battery thinkin that might have been it. any help would be appretiated.

Try to look at those AC connections, and the spark plugs maybe worn out and need to be replaced unless its problem is connected with the honda clutch.

to check if the injectors are firing is easy. they always have power when the key is on. so get a test light and check for power on the injector. but the way an injector fires is a ground pulse. it grounds to fire and ungrounds when its not open. this is simple to check with a test light. your lookin for a ground so take the gound of the test light, the little alligator clip and put it on the positve of the battery so it has power. then all it needs is the ground. so probe the ground wire of the injector and have someone crank the engine. the light in the test light should flash on and off quickly while cranking. this means the inkector is working correctly. if it doesnt light up at all there could be a relay or fuse blown, or something unplugged. anyway i hope that helps.

so i found some loose ground wires, i tried turning the key to see if maybe that was what it was and the fuel pump wouldnt turn on. i connect the grounds back on and the fuel pump started up and so did the car, so i took it for a little test drive down the street and the speedometer didnt work, then the car stalled out and the fuel pump wouldnt kick back on again. idk what to do this sh*t sucks.

check your fuses, see if maybe they blew or something, i know the speedo and the fuel pump both have one under the dash.

Yea definetly make sure the grounds are good, clean them up real well, you may even need to shave some of the paint or if there's any rust or anything.

I've had the same problem before, there is a ground that attaches to the thermostat housing that many people overlook, believe it or not your fuel pump will not kick on unless this is clean its right underneath your upper hose on the housing.

will check it but it was doing it before we took the thermostat out. could it be the sensor that plugs into the thermostat. is that replaceable?

no its not that sensor. there are a group of grounds( about 3 wires) @ the thermo housing. they are ecu grounds. has to be it

i am not saying you are wrong i am just saying the grounds werent loose before i took the thermostat off. well atleast they didnt seem loose because we had to break that bolt loose. it was on there. but my point is that it was acting the same way before we took the thermostat housing, the thermostat and the grounds off. i will check it it is a easy fix!! thanks for your help just seems a little to easy. I definetly will check and let you know.
