I am having a issue with my del sol. it is acting weird. first it over heated. so i replaced the thermostat and when we did that no overheating but now most the time it wont start but when it will and continue to run without shutting down then it runs fine under 3000 rpm. when you rev over 4k then it shoots the speedometer up and then shuts the engine off. any help with this would be great. i am new to hondas please help thanks i also replaced the fuel filter,radiator cap and fuel cap trying to cover the easy grounds. i was thinking fuel because it putters sometimes when it is dying. but i think it is something else.

how many miles? time for a tune up?

 

fuel pump going? Dirty injectors?

 

start it with the rad cap off. if coolant shoots out you possibly warped the head when you overheated.

 

i have done tuneupm 175k and i have seafoamed it so i dont think dirty injectors. and the fuel pump is still going. should the coolant not shoot out? and what is the other possibility besides warped head. one of the other guys on here says the ground but i checked them.
