96 integra running to rich!!!!! help?!
i have a 96 integra ls se and its throwing the check engine light abd i cant figure out why?!!! i work as a mechanic at a shop here in town but i just cant get this one... there are no codes when i hook up the snap on obd 2 code reader but still check engine light i have reset it several times and in about 30 sec. i will come right back on and run way rich and misses a little not bad though!?!?!?!? i need help... i cant afford gas in my car when it gets 140 miles to half a tank! lol thanks ahead for any suggestions peace!
Have you checked to make sure the stock computer is installed? Perhaps is was swapped to an OBD1 unit.
If it is the correct OBD2 computer, it could simply be failing.

ya i thought that might be an issue but i got it off a old couple that kept it bone stock but i guess it could be failing i know they didnt mod it though.... i need to find some one with an obd 2 unit everyone here swaps to obd 1 though!!!!! thanks...
ok so i pulled the codes through the cel and icame up with code 54... which is crankshaft fluctuation sensor... or somin like that.i havent looked into it to much but ive heard that it will make your car miss sometimes, but no one has said anything about it making it run rich. so i need to know if this will cause bad air/fuel ratio or if anyone has experienced prob. with this sensor or if you think my ecu is dicked
? thanks

check your distributor, pull the cap and see if it looks worn. also its going to run like a dog because its in limp mode....you need to address the cel concern asap.
