Default JL Audio 2 10w3v3 vs. 2 10w6v2?

im trying to find a pair of subs to replace my 2 10 IDQs. they just cant handle what my old JLs were able to. i cant remember if i had w3s or w6s though. now im looking at either the w3v3 or w6v2? which would you guys recommend? which is worth the money? i know the w6s are pretty expensive but if its worth it, ill try to find a pair.

Both are good speakers, Both perform good in small enclosures. If you don't have that much power get the w3. If you have more power to spare go with the w6. The w6 has a little more tricks in its pants to get every little detail of sub bass.

why buy w6s or w3s for that matter if you are powering them with a power acoustic amplifier. i say go 1- 12w6v2 with a 500/1 jl amp. this way you still have 500rms to a sub that will bump even in a sealed enclosure. what type of music do you listen to mostly?

well, if buying a new amp and sub will sound better and is cheaper than getting 2 10" w6s or w3s and using an existing amp, im up for it. anyways, i listen to all types of music.

honestly powering JL subs off of a poweracoustic amp is just degrading to the subs.
buy some W3s and get a JL 500/1 to power them. you will be amazed at how much better the subs sound off of that amp over yours.
