Default Draining Radiator

Can I drain the radiator by using the drain plug at the bottom of the radi...., and plug it back and fill it back up, and fill up the reservoir? Or do I need to do other steps? thanks

That's the quickest and easiest way to drain and fill the radiator, yes, but it won't clear out your whole system. You can open the hole on the block as well and get most of it, but a true coolant flush is the best way to really clean it out. If you've got $75, just about any shop can do it

help me out if i'm wrong here. you can be ghetto too and take out the thermostat, hook up a radiator pressure tester, open the drain plug on the radiator and pump away at the pressure tester. if you have the money get it flushed though. probably bring your own honda coolant too, i don't like prestone and all that other bs.

I use Shell just because that's what we have at the shop

or you can be even more ghetto and open drain plug then top rad cap...

then run a closed system of distill water through the top and turn on the engine and let it run for a minute or two
