Default metzler?

anone ever run the metzler m1 or m3? thinking of going with these due to price, but would like to know how people liked them. the suzuki shop by my house has them for $131 for the m1 and 141 for the m3. is that a reasonable price? what kind of mileage have you gotten from them? how well do they grip? i just got done with a set of pirelli diablo's and loved them, but i wore the corners out of them quick and dont want to pay for a set of those every 9 months.

my first sport bike had 208's on it and at the time i wasn't a very good rider but they were fine for me. i hear so many people say 208's suck so you may want to consider how hard you ride blah blah blah.

Are 208's still available? I haven't checked, but I thought the successor is the new Qualifiers.

dont want to go with the 208's. im commuting on the bike more now than i did before so maybe the tires will wear more evenly. the supercorsas that i had were bald on the sides and still had 1/3 tread in the center. i will post the vid of the burnout when i decided i needed new tires.

The Metzeler M1's are decent; the M3's are the successor to that line. Are the prices for both front and rear? Don't mix and match brands/models.

If you need more life, look into the sport-touring tires. They will last much longer than their sporty brethren. Otherwise, just accept a short life-span as part of the deal for sticky rubbers.

I've got the Metzler M1's on my 600rr, but only because they came with the bike. The previous owner had them installed and put at least a thousand miles on them, but they still look good. Lots of tread left. For the track at the end of the summer I'll be switching to PP's or something else but for now they're good for street use commuting. I'd recommend them for what you need.
