90 accord ECU help
Hey I got a 90 accord EX-R, 2 doors, 5 speed, and the ECU wont work and I was trying to get another one but I cant find one with the same number this is the number 37820-pt3-a21 the engine is f22 2.2. Iwant to see if there is any other computer that I can use and make the car work normal.
The problem that its has is that I got no spark, I already change the distributor, the coil, check the cables, wires, but that didnt fix the problem.
I will appreciate any help its been a week already that the car has been sitting there and I really need it.
thanks

you can simulate the ECU grounding the ignitor to make the coil throw spark.
Get set up so you can catch/watch a spark from the coil.
Turn on the key and touch a grounded test light to the green or blue wire on the ignitor. The coil should throw a spark.
I forget which wire is the one to the ECU, but it won't hurt anything to do this.
Also use the test light to check for power on the Black/yellow wire at the Dist plug when the key is on.
Hondanet parts catalog shows ECU p/n to be 37820-PT3-A22. Yours is the original and the last digit shouldn't make any difference.

Hey thanks man, very helpful I will try this tomorrow.
Just I have a little question you say that the last digit doesnt matter you mean on a21 and a22 or any other letter or number, because I have found many other computers that start with the same number like mine but the last ones are different
I know tha they are different between the MT and AT for example this one is for a 91 EX-R 5 speed and the last one are A53 there is another one that is A50, A03 and many more but they are too many to list, some of them say that they are for STANDAR SYSTEM and I dont even know what that means and other ones say that they are for FED other one for CAL.
Ok thanks again.
