Please help ...ECU questions...

hi guys..i have a few questions before i'm doing my DPFI to MPFI swap......

i have a D15B2 black with D16A6 head with the DPFI running right now....

i'm trying to do the MPFI so i can get a few more hp out of it....i have the intake manifold already with all the sensors, the injector resistor box...and i have the D16 dizzy and PM6 ECU as well...but the problem is my car is AUTO....so..i'm assuming the PM6 ECU will not work ....and i did some research on it...seems like i should get the PS9 ECU which is for the 89-91civic si auto or 88-91 Civic EX auto..... I want to make sure that i have to get the PS8 ecu or there's someway that i can mod the PM6 ecu for it to work with my auto tranny... and i believe there's a little bit difference between the auto and 5sp si intake manifold as well...for the auto..the throttle body is connected to the auto tranny with the throttle cable..but for the 5sp..it's not connect to anything.... which i might need to reuse my D15 manifold cable if i can..or with some modifications....

just want to double check with your guys before i take everything apart...thanks alot.....

and by the way.....few days ago my check engine light came up...and i read the ECU....it's blinking wit the code of... 1 slow blink and 17 fast blinks after that....what does that mean !? i know code 17 is the speed sensor..but i never heard of 18 ? arrrrgggg...anyone know about this..please let me know !! thanks...

 

One slow blink is 10, IAT sensor. I believe you can get the auto ECU chipped to make it 5 speed.
