Default Built Low Comp. Engine

I'm almost done with my 8.5:1 CR fully built bottom end B16. All i really need is mounts and a wiring harness. I'm planning on keeping it N/A for a few months to save up for all of my turbo stuff.

My question is, will i notice an increase in power from a fully built block even if the Compression Ratio is lower?

it will feel smoother since its rebuilt, but expect no more power than stock really. bottom end maybe but no top for sure since you have no compression.

You won't really notice a difference with the lower compression if you are using stock cams. It will lose a few whp but not enough to really notice.
