vx o2 sensor
i couldnt find anything usefull when i searched...i recently bought a 92 civic vx and the check engine light would come on at various times. i installed a p28 to replace the super slow p07 and the engine light stays on now. i check the code and its 41, the o2 sensor. my qeustion in why does the vx have a 5 wire o2 sensor and other honda motors dont? whats the extra wire for? why cant i find a new one for less than $300?
i think the vx is the economy version and it reads for lower emissions. maybe when you put the p28 in it caused it to run a little richer then it is supposed to. just a guess, trying to help.
The 5-wire is a wideband O2 sensor.
I found a this site that sells the sensor for $185, Honda # 36531-P07-003.

It seems to be the same part # as on San Leandro Honda:

youll prob say no but im broke so heres another question. is there anyway to hook up a 4 wire o2 sensor and make it work right? i have an extra one off a 96 d16y7. thanks for your help already.
The 5 wire o2 are one of honda's first Air Fuel Sensors... if you want to use a p28, you'll have to rewire stuff....
